I have had a cold, which not dangerous, but hard to shake. Anyway, I am feeling better every day. If you have a fever and low blood counts, you have to be hospitalized and get intraveneous antibiotics. Fortunately, I have not had the two events coincide!!
My sixth treatment has been scheduled for Friday, October 17th. This is approximately 4 weeks from my last treatment. Although I was on a 3 week cycle, I will really appreciate the extra week to recover and get healthy!! After this I will have one more. My new objective is to finish by Thanksgiving and really celebrate. The holiday will take on new meaning!
I hope everyone is not too soggy from the rain!

Hi Maura,
We have the bug moving thru NBPT too with all of the wet weather it has been a tough one. Will they let you use homeopathic remedies? Molly and I used Oscillococcinum by BOIRON and I feel turned around after 72-hours.
I planted a new garden (phase 1) this summer and never got the old sprinkler system redone so I appreciate any rain. The leaves are just beginning to turn and the apples have been fabulous.
October can be such a glorious month so take it all in.
Hugs, Sue
Dear Maura,
It was really, really nice to see you on Saturday. I love your hairdo! Seriously, I wish I didn't have such a frizz bob to deal with (Bob?). We saw all family members whilst on our whirlwind tour of Concord. That was nice. (You should have ordered the spinach omelette!) Thank you for keeping us posted. I think about you alot. A lot! I hope Nathanial's cold has gone? The schools are breeding grounds for germs! They should have automatic "Purell" dispensers every two or three feet! (An OCD person's idea of heaven.....)
Much love as always, Kate
Maura:
Hope you shake your cold soon. I finally was attacked by whatever the kids had a couple weeks ago after the 10th in a row coughed in my face. Working at a Peds clinic is like working in a daycare, or a swamp. Germs everywhere.
We are well. We had a great visit from Cousin Pete and Tacie (a breast cancer survivor). We did some cool trips that we could consider with you when you visit.
Lots of great animal sightings lately to wet your appetite. Beth got a photo of a large bull moose in the yard. Then a cow and a calf moose down the hill. We drove around a tree that a beaver had dropped into the road to get a closer look at the swans on the marsh then we turned and looked out to sea and realized there were whales lobtailing and feeding right off shore silhouetted against the sunset. Really magical.
Glad to hear you are feeling better and getting down to your last couple treatments. We will really look forward to celebrating with you when we come back for Thanksgiving. We get back November 24 and Beth comes home 12/3. I stay for a Peds conference leaving early the 6th.
Look forward to seeing all of you. Love to all
Will & Beth
Bob and I just got back from CA last night, and are both home with the flu! Otherwise, all is well. Had alot of fun in Berkeley with the kids. They are so, so, SO cute. I'm smiling with joy as I write this.... I hope your plan for the 6th TX on 10/17 is problem-free. I'll be thinking of you.
Much love, Kate
Maura, hi!

Cassy
Hi Maura,
You are always on my mind. So glad you are at the end of this round. You must celebrate the Great Pumpkin. I remember how beautiful Concord is in the fall on the Common. Love to your family and enjoy hearing your success.
Love Joyce Pace
I am so happy to hear that you are getting down to the finish line..
Thanks Giving is coming up fast.
Your family "special" vacation is a wonderful idea! Good for you all!
