Successful Surgery

Many thanks for all the kind messages. The surgery was successful. Other than the cysts there was no other evidence of a recurrence of the disease. They were removed without damage to anything else. Chris Awtry had to work long and hard to achieve this result. We are very grateful to him. This should keep Maura in remission. The patient is already plotting her escape from the hospital. She will start walking tonight, by the morning it will probably be hard to keep up with her. Catch her if you can!

So glad to hear that the surgery went so well. Hope you are up and around fast and comfortably. Sounds like it was big but smooth. Thinking of you all and hope to see you in 3 weeks.

Great to hear that Maura is home from the hospital. We appreciate Gay keeping us in the loop. Hope that Maura is not too exhausted and you get some good rest. We look forward to seeing you later this month.

Dear Maura,
I think I'm on the wrong page again! Where can I find 2010.....never you mind; I WILL figure it out. I was happy to hear your voice this a.m. while you were walking Beau in the snow. Today we are getting the "dusting" that you had last night. Except, it's coming down rather hard and fast (only in Knox County, I heard!). Will write again when I can find this year's page! xxxxxxxx, Kate
